This special edition showcases a port cask finish, infusing the whiskey with nuanced flavors of cherry, toffee, and distinct cereal undertones.
In a recent statement, Nate Randall, the head distiller and founder, emphasized that only the most exceptional single malt whiskey casks would bear the coveted Singularity label. The meticulous production process spanning five years has culminated in the unveiling of these unique barrels, showcasing the distillery’s commitment to quality and innovation.
Featuring a maltbill sourced from Admiral Maltings in Alameda, CA, and Great Western in Pocatello, ID, the first iteration of Singularity is a testament to Hinterhaus’s dedication to transparency and craftsmanship. The whiskey is aged in a blend of ex-American Single Malt casks and new medium toast #3 charred oak before being finished in an 11-year-old California Port French Oak cask.
Noteworthy for its full malting and aging disclosure, Singularity upholds Hinterhaus’s tradition of producing non-chill filtered, additive-free whiskeys. Due to its limited availability, the product is currently exclusively offered at Hinterhaus Distilling’s bottle shop in Arnold, CA, with potential for future batch shipments. Additionally, the distillery presents another American Single Malt variant, Discovery, accessible at select retailers in CA and CO, as well as online for shipping.
