Q: What is the standard lead-time for delivery once my order has been dispatched?

A: The production lead-time is 10 business days from order placement plus freight lead-times.

The ADDITIONAL freight time will depend on your specific location but a rough guide is as follows (business days):

  • Melbourne metro - Next day delivery
  • Sydney metro - 1-2 business days
  • Adelaide metro - 1-2 business days
  • Brisbane metro - 2-3 business days
  • Perth metro - 5-9 business days
  • Tasmania metro - 2-3 business days
  • Northern Territory - 5-9 business days

Q: What if I have left my order late and I need it dispatched sooner than the standard 10 business days?

A: We can expedite orders if required but we do charge a "rush fee" of $10.00 as it usually means we are rescheduling production and moving out other orders.   In order to determine if we can make your timeframe, we need to know product type, required date and your location, as freight transit times may impact timframes.   You will need to email the office at or call us on 03 8352 1000 to confirm before proceeding.   If we can meet your timeframe, will take payment over the phone with a credit card.  

  • For smaller Wine jobs (under 12 bottles), we can ship out in 1-2 business days.
  • For Beer, Cider and Water, the quickest we can dispatch is 5 business days.
  • For Labels Only, we already dispatch in 5 business days so we can't speed this up sorry.


Q: What if I am not home when my order arrives?

A:  For all online orders, our delivery contractor Hunter Express will deliver during business hours only (no weekends). If you’re not expected to be home during business hours due to work committments etc, you can select the Authority to Leave option or provide your work address as the delivery address so you can sign for the goods (a person over 18 years in the case of alcohol).  This will avoid a re-delivery fee which will be incurred if we are required to organise redelivery of goods.

You can request that your delivery is left on your doorstep if no-one is home.  There is an Authority to Leave option when completing your shipping details.   When you provide this authorization you are confirming that you have a safe place where the goods can be left.  Brewtopia will not take responsibility for theft.  If you have already received a shipment notification, this means that your order has been dispatched, so you will then need to contact Hunter Express directly on 132252, quoting your Connote/Tracking Number to make this request, as it is now in their care.


Q: Can I pick my order up from Brewtopia?

A: You can only pick-up your order from our warehouse at 5B The Crossway, Campbellfield Victoria 3061 (just off Sydney Road).  When placing your order please select Pick-Up as the option in the shopping cart.  We will call you when your order is available and to arrange a time for pick-up.  Our warehouse hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm. 


Q: I only have the option to pick up in the checkout, why is that? 

A: Your address may have be entered incorrectly.  Please confirm that your Suburb and Postcode are correct. We only ship within Australia.


Q: Once my order is in transit, how can I track delivery status? 

A: Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a Shipment Notification including a tracking number i.e. XR100159.  Our freight partner for carton deliveries is Hunter Express and you can log-on to their website at, enter your tracking reference number in the top right and locate the status of your order. Sometimes there may be a delay in scanning of goods and you can call their customer service centre on 132252 if you need to discuss with them. 

If your order is time critical for an event, please ensure you contact Hunter Express once you receive your tracking details and co-ordinate delivery with them directly. 


Q: Do you offer special pricing for Bulk and Wholesale Orders? 

A: Yes, we do offer discounted pricing for bulk orders and wholesale customers.  Bulk orders are considered to be 21+ cartons for beer/cider, 21+ cartons for water and above 60 bottles of wine.    If you are a re-seller i.e. cafe, restaurant or promotional agency you may be eligible for our wholesale pricing.  Please contact us at, or call 03 8352 1000 to discuss your specific requirements. Q: I want to put the Beer and/or Cider into my own hamper for gifting, what should I be aware of?

A: Beer and Cider bottles are supplied in glass, in a pressurised container, so they are very sensitive to impact and special care must be taken in transit.  The bottles must not be lying down.  We supply in purpose made 6-pack baskets and the beer/cider must always be standing up in transit.  Lying them down may cause leakage due to rapid movement in transit creating excessive pressure on the cap.  We will not take responsibility for how you re-pack our products or any damage caused to the product as a result of that.


Q: I have received my product in perfect condition but I have since repacked it (or added it to my own hamper) and then freighted it with my freight company who have caused damage.  What should I do?

A: Please contact your freight provider for a resolution. Brewtopia will take full responsibility for any damage caused by our own freight provider and we will re-supply at our cost once the evidence of damage has been provided.  However, we will not be held responsible if you re-pack the goods and/or on-forward the goods with your own freight company.  In particular, where individual bottles are placed in hampers without correct wrapping and/or are place lying down.  


Q: Can you ship internationally?  

A: Brewtopia will not ship beverage products internationally. We will only ship Custom Labels.  If an overseas order is required, it can be done as a Pick-Up and we will need to liaise with you via email to manage the shipment details and pricing.   Our freight calculator only provides shipping costs for goods shipped within Australia. 


Q: Can I order custom printed labels only?

A: Brewtopia is able to supply "labels only".  Please navigate to our Products page where you can choose from a wide range of label templates suitable for beer, wine and water, or alternatively you can upload your own label artwork.


Q: What is the Shelf-Life of the products?

A: The "Best Before"date are as follows: Water is 2-years, Beer is 1-year and Wine is dependant upon varietal and storage conditions but Value Range wines can be stored for 2-years and Mid and Premium Wines are 5+ years.

Q: What size is the label?

A: Water, beer, cider and sparkling brut labels are landscape format - 110mm (w) x 67mm (h). Wine labels are either portrait format - 67mm (w) x 110mm (h) or landscape format - 110mm (w) x 67mm (h), depending on the bottle shape. Mini wine labels are landscape format - 67mm (w) x 48mm (h).


Q: Can I download an Upload-your-own template?

A: Yes, you can download PDF templates here: Landscape template (water, beer, brut, chardonnay). Vertical template (wine). Mini template (mini wines, piccolo).


Q: What happens if my text is too long for the label template and I can’t view it correctly?

A: Your label will be checked by our graphic designer once your order is placed, any text outside of the text box will be resized to fit before it goes to print. Please ensure your spelling is correct when typed into the ‘Customise the Text’ section of the label maker, we do not spell check.


Q: What legal information is added by Brewtopia to the label artwork once the label has been approved for print?

A: The legal information is product specific and has been outlined below:

Container Deposit Legislation (CDL) marking: "10c refund at collection depots/points in participating State/Territory of purchase”. 
Due to new legislative changes, a 10 cent refund marking will be applied to all labels for Water, Beer and Cider products (wine products are exempt). This is currently required for SA, NT and NSW but will be rolled out nationally in 2018 and this marking will ensure national compliance.

Lager: 330ml Lager. Product of Australia. 4.3% Alc/Vol contains approx 1.2 Standard Drinks. Brewed in Victoria. Brewtopia Pty Ltd, 5B The Crossway Campbellfield VIC 3061

WINE: Vintage and Wine Region are not legal requirements for wine labels and are not added to your label by us, this can be added into the provided text fields at your own discretion.

Q: The colour of my label is different to what I approved on-screen, what can I do?

A: We advise all customers to first read our Colour Guide below. We use a 4 colour (CMYK) digital printing process and this can lead to slight variance in colour when compared to a colour displayed on-screen or a Pantone swatch.


When selecting colours it is important to remember that you are viewing the selected colour on a screen, which displays in RGB, we will then have to convert this colour to a print-friendly colour, made up of CMYK. All computer displays are RGB, so even designing in CMYK cannot avoid this natural conversion. Therefore, the printed product may vary slightly from your on-screen preview.
One of the biggest considerations to choosing your colours should be contrast. Since your monitor is backlit, it can enhance contrast in ways that will not translate well to a printed product like a custom label. Ensure you have good contrast between your background and text colours.
We recommend you try to stick to light-on-dark, or dark-on-light designs. We have many templates available with the colours pre-selected with good contrast. Using these is always a safe bet if you are unsure.
Some customers ask if we print Pantone colours, or if we can colour match to a previous print sample. Due to the nature of our printing process we cannot achieve 1:1 colour matching on short-run orders. If you need a large bulk order and the colour to be matched we recommend getting in touch with our custom service team.



Q: Are there restrictions regarding imagery and/or content used when I create my label using the online label builder tool?

A: The Label Builder Tool is fun to use but we do have some restrictions in place regarding what is acceptable for printing.  These include the following:

  • Content that may infringe on the rights of a third-party;
  • Vulgar language including profanities, racist or derogatory terms;
  • Naked or overtly sexual images; and
  • Material that is generally offensive or in bad taste, as determined by Brewtopia.

We may alter your label artwork so that it is suitable for print (e.g. bleep-out profanities), or request new artwork from you.
